Retirement planning and protection
Stephanie runs a business in Galway city and this, coupled with the fact that she and her husband have four daughters all under the age of 14, means time is in short supply. Steph would considers herself pretty savvy in relation to her finances, but felt as though she needed some professional advice in the areas of retirement planning and life assurance.
How did you manage your finances before you became a Money Adviser client?
I used to get letters from the bank asking me to come in and talk to one of their financial consultants. I did this a few times, but I used to leave the bank with the feeling that it was more in their benefit than mine. I was always conscious of the fact that they could only sell me their products, and would always wonder if I was getting the best products or most suitable advice because of that.
What prompted you to use Money Adviser?
I wanted a one-stop-shop when it came to my life assurance policies and pension planning. Because Money Adviser deals with several companies and they have flexible meeting hours, this really appealed to me.
How do you find the changes?
Unlike the bank, I now have a dedicated point of contact in Money Adviser. Bob knows our finances almost as well as we do and I can run anything by him if I have questions.
Would you recommend Money Adviser to a friend?
Absolutely! I think its a refreshing approach to personal finances and great to know they are independent.
